Entry: In Memoriam of Cecilia Zhang - Toronto's Little Angel Mar 30, 2004

For all of you who do not live in Toronto, or Canada for that matter, than this may not be of concern to you, but nevertheless, you should take heed.  We are a city in mourning this week, as the body of sweet and innocent Cecilia Zhang was found dead.  This is perhaps the greatest tragedy to hit are city in many years, even greater than SARS>

If you aren't from around Ontario, Cecilia was an innocent 9 year old girl who was kidnapped from her house in North York on Oct. 19/'04.  For months police in Ontario and Toronto have been searching to bring this little angel home to her distraught parents.  Unfortunately, her body was found near the Credit River, a place she often went on picnics with her family.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Zhang family.  No words can possibly comfort them nor describe the amount of pain they must be in at the loss of their innocent daughter.  They have the best wishes of an entire city, who has become very familiar with the face of Cecilia, almost as if we had known her all our lives.  We all became attached to her sweet smile in that poster and prayed for a safe return.
However, she is with God now, and is truly a little angel.

I, as many probably do, will pray for her family and their long journey to recovery.  At least they were granted some closure in all of this.  Not knowing what has haoppened to your child when they go missing is perhaps the worst feeling to live with.  One just wishes Cecilia did not suffer in parting this world.  God bless the Zhang family.

I have never felt so enraged as I do now.  To think that scumbag is still alive and walking around the streets of Toronto is an outrage.  I hope the cops nail this guy and bring him to justice.  I think they are gonna have to protect him, b/c a lot of angry citizens who have come to see that angel's face everyday on the train, bus or store are gonna want a piece of him.  When you take the life of an innocent child, I think you give up your rights to your own life and that of the law.  I really wish this guy is caught soon.  No amount of punishment is going to be equal to his crime.  I hope there is a special place in hell reserved for people who exploit and murder innocent children.

For now, let us put down our anger and pray for Cecilia and her family.  Truly this is a sad week in Toronto.  What has the world come to?  If you are wondering what you can do, a lot of people are putting a capital "C" on their MSN Screen names in her memory.  If you have MSN messenger, please do as such.  It is just a small tribute in this angel's memory.
Pray people, I don't care to whom you pray to, just pray for that little girl's soul and for her devastated family.  May they recieve some comfort in the coming days by the grace of God.
